Ricoh (M'sia) Sdn Bhd and Malaysian Nature Society (MNS) is in a joint venture for 2 year for a collaborative project on the mangrove forest restoration. The collaborative project has chosen the Kuala Selangor Nature Park (KSNP), which is located 60km north of Kuala Lumpur, to restore and conserve. The Mangrove Forest Recovery Project is Ricoh’s 12th project aimed at building a framework for continuous forest conservation. According to Ricoh, KSNP has been designated by BirdLife International and its Partner Malaysian Nature Society (MNS) as an Important Bird Area, with sightings of over 150 species of birds in its brackish water lake system. Let us not forget about the abundance of small-animals, fishes, amphibians and reptiles such as the Silvered Leaf-monkeys, Long-tailed Macaques, Otters, Mudskippers and Fiddler Crabs, that can be found around the nature park.

Donation of Toner Cartridge Benches - Waiting for a train can be tiring for commuters.

This is why Ricoh Malaysia has donated 2 green benches made from recycled toner cartridges at the Medan Tunku Monorail station in Kuala Lumpur on 5 Jun 2009, in conjunction with World Environment Day.

Details about the benches and how they were constructed are placed next to the benches in hope that they will raise awareness about recycling among the commuters and encourage them to practice a more environmentally friendly lifestyle.
