NGO Receives Gift Of Photocopier
Kiwanis Malaysia received a brand new photocopying machine worth RM10,000 recently. A team from Ricoh (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, headed by company managing director Lim Eng Weng, called on the organisation's district office to present the machine. Kiwanis district secretary Adeline Chan Briefed the visitors on the clubs in the district and took them on a tour of the facilities of the Kiwanis Down Syndrome Foundation National Centre. Lim said he was happy to be involved with Kiwanis through the Ricoh Global Corporate Social Responsibility Program (CSR). The company had played a major role in supporting the tsunami relief effort mounted by Kiwanis Malaysia earlier in the year. Kiwanis Malaysia governor Stewart LaBrooy thanked the company for its kind gesture. The machine, he said, was essential to the organisation's communications with members as well as the production of training and educational material. Also present at the event were Kiwanis Malaysia governor-elect Choi Tat Wai, past governor Yong Kar Kwee and district administration secretary Rowland Gomez. 25 Nov 2005. |
